17 Football Players Sign with USC

On Wednesday, 17 players signed letters-of-intent to play football at USC. One additional player enrolled at USC in January as a freshman and will participate in spring practice this year.

Here’s a look at the players who signed up to play for the Trojans.
Jordan Campbell - a linebacker and fullback from Norco High School, was named Super Prep All-American and Prep Star All-American. In 2006 he had 156 tackles, six sacks and one interception.

Brandon Carswell - a wide receiver from Milipitas High School was named Super Prep All-American. Carswell played quarterback, wide receiver and cornerback while in high school.

Martin Coleman - an offensive lineman from Edison High School was named Super Prep All-American. He missed the end of the 2006 season because of a broken ankle. Coleman enrolled at USC in January as a freshman and will participate in spring practice.

Aaron Corp - a quarterback from Lutheran High School of Orange County was named a Parade All-American, a Super Prep All-American and a Prep Star All-American. As a senior he threw 21 touchdown passes and ran for 12 touchdowns. He also punted for the team.

Rhett Ellison - a tight end from St. Francis High School who also played linebacker in high school. His father Riki (Gray) Ellison lettered at linebacker for four seasons at USC and played in the NFL for the 49ers and Raiders.

Chris Galippo - a linebacker from Servite High School who was a Parade All-American and named to the USA Today All-USA first team. He had 98 tackles and seven sacks last season.

Broderick Green - a running back from Little Rock, Arkansas who was named Parade All-American, Super Prep All-American and Prep Star All-American. His half-brother is Kansas City Chiefs safety Greg Wesley.

Everson Griffen - a defensive end from Avondale, Arizona was named Super Prep Player of the Year. He had 77 tackles and 16 sacks and also ran for 1,251 yards in 2006. His cousin is Arizona State tailback Keegan Herring.

DaJohn Harris - a defensive tackle from Serra High School was a Super Prep All-American and a Prep Star All-American. He also played tight end in high school.

Trey Henderson - a defensive lineman from Vancouver had 40 tackles and 8 sacks in 2006. He is believed to be the first Canadian player offered a scholarship to play at USC.

Ronald Johnson - a defensive back and wide receiver from Muskegon, Michigan, who was a Super Prep All-American and a Prep Star All-American. He had three interceptions as a cornerback and 1,600 all-purpose yards as a receiver in 2006.

Marshall Jones - a safety from Oaks Christian High School who was a Super Prep All-American and a Prep Star All-American. He made 96 tackles and had six interceptions in 2006.

Joe McKnight - a running back from River Ridge, Louisiana who was on the USA Today All-USA first team. He had 1,928 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns in 2006.

Kristofer O’Dowd - an offensive tackle from Tucson, Arizona was a Super Prep All-American and a Prep Star All-American. He had 90 pancake blocks in 2006.

Michael Reardon - an offensive lineman from Lutheran High School of Orange County was a Super Prep All-American and a Prep Star All-American.

Malcolm Smith - a linebacker from Taft High School was a Super Prep All-American and a Prep Star All-American. He had 31 tackles and 10 sacks in 2006 despite missing the first half of the season with a leg injury.

Christian Tupou - a defensive lineman from Grant High School. He recorded 82 tackles and five sacks in 2006 and his team went 13-0.

Marc Tyler - a running back from Oaks Christian High School who made USA Today All-USA First Team. He ran for 1,700 yards in 2006 despite breaking his leg before the playoffs. His father is Wendell Tyler, who played for UCLA, the L.A. Rams and the 49ers.
